Dr. Susan Anwar Mabrouk Khalafallah is a highly experienced Anaesthesia Specialist with more than 18 years of clinical experience in anaesthesia, intensive care, perioperative medicine and pain management. She has been practicing at Al Garhoud Private Hospital, Dubai, since 2017, providing comprehensive anaesthetic and perioperative care for a wide spectrum of elective and emergency surgical procedures.

Her clinical experience encompasses obstetric and gynaecological, bariatric, paediatric, general, neurosurgical, cardiothoracic and open-heart, vascular, orthopaedic and trauma, ENT, maxillofacial, plastic, urological, ophthalmic and emergency surgery, as well as anaesthesia for imaging procedures. Her experience also includes postoperative intensive care and the management of critically ill patients.

Dr. Khalafallah has particular clinical expertise in complex and high-risk perioperative patients, including patients requiring advanced airway management, invasive haemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation and critical care. Her technical expertise includes endotracheal intubation, arterial catheterization, central venous access and in regional anaesthesia especially labour epidural analgesia and ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve block.

Dr. Khalafallah’s approach is centred on providing safe, individualized and evidence-based anaesthetic care. She carefully considers each patient’s medical condition, surgical procedure, risk factors and individual needs when developing the anaesthetic plan, with the goal of achieving the safest possible perioperative course, optimal pain control and smooth recovery.

Since 2026, Dr. Khalafallah has served as a Core Faculty member of the Medical Internship Program at Al Garhoud Private Hospital, contributing to clinical teaching, supervision, mentoring and assessment of medical interns.

She is also a member of the CME Education Committee at Al Garhoud Private Hospital, contributing to continuing medical education and professional development activities.
